On the 11th week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region for the first time remain at the level of last week at $36-37 per ton for a shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. Many charterers note that demand from Turkish partners has increased slightly this week, although European and Mediterranean countries still buy very little, as in recent months. In addition, it is worth noting that from March 15, ice fees to the ports of Rostov, Azov and Taganrog will cease to be charged.
As for the export rate on wheat exports from Russia, from March 13th, it will be reduced to 3,344.5 rubles from 3,575.4 rubles per ton a week earlier. The tax on corn will also be reduced to 527 rubles from 885.2 rubles per ton, while the export fee on barley will increase to 667.6 rubles per ton.
