On the 24th week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region remain in the limit of $31-32 for a shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. There is a tendency for a slight increase in rates, which is due, among other reasons, to a further reduction of export tax, thus its amount for wheat exports from Russia from June 15 to 20 inclusive will decrease to 2,629.6 rubles per ton, the fee on the export of barley will remain zero, and for corn exports it will decrease to 1,189.6 rubles per ton. At the same time, it is worth noting that the sharp reduction in export fee last week did not fundamentally change the situation, since the grains in the fields immediately increased in price, thereby leveling the potential profit of traders. Most charterers are set to wait for the new grain season to resume active trade.
