On the 36th week, freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region are maintained at USD 26 per ton for shipment of 3000 tons of deadweight cargo from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. Charterers are actively calculating shipments of peas and chickpeas, but prices for these commodities do not allow to conclude benefitial contracts. There is also a growing number of requests for export shipments from Russian river ports, primarily to Egypt and Mersin. This leads to a slight increase in rates for these destinations.
The export fee on wheat exports from Russia will be raised to 1,115.7 rubles from September 4th, the rate on corn will also rise slightly to 724.5 rubles, the tax on barley will again be zero.
