On the 39th week, freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region continued to grow. Thus, for a shipment of 3000 tons of deadweight cargo from Azov to Marmara Sea ports the freight rate increased up to USD 31 per ton. It is worth noting that freight rates are rising due to increased demand for Russian grain from Turkish traders, primarily for corn. Shipments to the ports of Marmara Sea are again becoming a priority direction. Most charterers are preparing for even higher demand for corn and wheat in the coming weeks.
Tax on wheat exports from Russia will be raised to 1,076.7 rubles from September 25th. The export fee on barley will remain zero, while for corn it will be reduced to 292.7 rubles from 446.3 rubles per ton a week earlier.
