On the 42nd week, freight rates continue to decline in the Azov-Black Sea region. The rate for shipping 3,000 tons of deadweight cargo from Azov to Marmara Sea ports has dropped to USD 32 per ton. Despite the fact that the Turkish authorities have eased restrictions on wheat imports for their flour mills, only 15 percent can be imported now, as a result an increase in the number of sales contracts for Turkey is not expected in the near future.
Starting from October 16, the export duty on wheat from Russia will be increased by nearly 41% to 1 872 rubles. The duty on barley will also rise significantly to 392.8 rubles per ton, and for corn, it will increase from 2 696.7 rubles to 2 827.2 rubles per ton.
