On the 5th week, rates in Azov-Black Sea region are still at the level of USD 20 pmt for a shipment of 3000 tons deadweight cargo from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. Sales of grains subcultures to Turkey and Mediterranean Sea countries have slightly intensified, which keeps the rate at the same level. Besides, demand for spot vessels is a little bit higher now, as shippers are trying to export wheat before quotas for grains export are introduced on February, 15th. There are also requests to ship fertilizers from the Black Sea.
The rate on wheat exports from Russia from January, 29th will decrease by 5.7% to 4,430.1 rubles per ton, while taxes on barley will increase to 3,407.8 rubles, and the rate for corn will decrease to 4,659.1 rubles per ton.
