On the 20th week unfortunately we don´t observe any amelioration on the freight market. The absence of cargoes in the majority of the regions makes the owners to reduce freight rates hoping that low prices would help them to obtain cargoes for shipments.

The 18th week began with bad news for most grain traders. During the period from April 24 to April 26, the remaining part of the quota (2.7 million tons) for grain export was completely depleted.
On the 17th week there is a decrease of freight market in the Azov sea region. The freight rate for shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports has reached the level of USD 20-21 PMT.
On the 16th week the freight market of Azov sea region keeps the previous week level and the freight rate for shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports remains on the USD 22 PMT level.
The freight market of Azov-Black Sea region continues to show positive tendency on the 15th week of 2020. An additional factor in freight rates increasing on this week was the worsening of weather conditions in the Black Sea.
At 14th week, freight rates continue to rise in the Azov-Black Sea region. The freight level for shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports has reached the level of USD 21 PMT.
At 13th week, active trade continues in the Azov-Black Sea region and an increase in the number of grain shipments has led to an increase in freight rates. On the direction Azov-Marmara, shipment of 3,000 mts of wheat will cost USD 20 PMT.
A drop in the ruble exchange rate has positively affected the export of goods from Azov sea ports.
