In week 14, freight rates in the Azov–Black Sea region are showing a downward trend. Contracts for the shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports are being concluded at USD 53 per ton. At the same time, there is an increase in the number of requests for freight calculations from river ports, both towards the Azov–Black Sea region and in the direction of Iran.
It should be noted that, starting from April 1, the export duty on wheat in Russia will increase to RUB 707.8 per ton, compared to RUB 515.6 per ton a week earlier. In addition, for the first time since October 2025, the export duty on corn will become non-zero, amounting to RUB 212.2 per ton. The export duty on barley will remain at zero.
In the Baltic region, rising bunker fuel prices continue to keep freight rates at a high level.
