On the 22nd week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region remained at the last week levels. Thus, the rate for a shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports is 36-37 dollars per ton. There is still very little cargo on the market, which is due to the end of the season and the lack of supply in the domestic market. The main directions of requests are Turkey, Israel and Albania. As last week, the rates in Azov don´t decrease as a result of a stable activity in the Black Sea, where there is a large cargo flow both from Russian ports and from the Danube ports of Ukraine. It should be noted that most charterers do not expect the resumption of shipments until the beginning of the new grain season in July.
