On the 22nd week, there is a trend to lower freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region. Thus, when shipping 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports, the freight rate will be USD 30 per ton. The amount of free tonnage is increasing, as the demand for both grain and coal cargoes remains low. Quite a lot of indication requests come from Russian River ports, both for cabotage and export shipments, but they rarely result in contracts.
The export rate for wheat exports from Russia from May 29th is 2,977.3 rubles per ton against 3,109.7 rubles a week earlier, whike taxes on barley and corn remained zero.
