During week 23, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region remained at USD 26 per ton for a 3,000-ton wheat shipment from Azov to the Marmara Sea ports. Despite the end of the holiday period in Turkey, no significant recovery in demand for grain cargoes has been observed. Fixtures remain unprofitable for traders due to the strong ruble. Shipments of minor crops continue to support the market; however, their volumes remain limited. Export duties on wheat, barley, and corn from Russia remain at zero as of June 3.
Baltic short sea freight market remains stable. Freight rates are unchanged from the previous week, while no significant changes in market activity have been observed.
