On the 29th week freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region remain at the same level. Contracts for a shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to the Marmara Sea ports this week are concluded at the level of USD 32 per ton. It should be noted that the grain deal has expired this Monday. Since there were initiatives to continue the export of Ukrainian grain, despite the official announcement of its end from the Russian side, many players of the grain market suspended their activities in anticipation of the development of the situation. In addition, it is worth noting that in connection with the incident on the Crimean Bridge, the passage through the Kerch Strait has remained closed since Sunday, which is why there is no sharp increase in free spot tonnage in the region, despite the absence of new contracts. In general, this week more requests for Russian grains come from Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon, the Turkish market is still on pause. The export rate on wheat exports from July 19 is 3,226 rubles per ton against 2,989,6 rubles a week earlier, the tax on barley will be zero for the sixth week in a row, and on corn it will increase to 1,923.2 rubles per ton.
