On the 29th week, freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region stopped last month’s decline, having settled at USD 17 per ton for shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. Demand for Russian grain began to grow, including in Turkiye. Traders started to show interest in buying barley, peas, chickpeas, but most contracts are discussed for August dates, so rates for spot shipments are not rising. It should be noted that the number of requests for export shipments from river ports has increased significantly.
The rate for wheat exports from Russia from July 17th will be 1,780.5 rubles against 1,701.3 rubles per ton a week earlier. Taxes on barley and corn will remain at zero.
