On the 30th week, freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region keep the last week’s level. Thus, the rate for a shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports will remain at USD 17 per ton. At the same time, it should be noted that the rates for long-distance destinations have started to grow, as shipments are mainly made to the ports of the Mediterranean Sea. Besides, the number of requests for shipments from the Russian River ports, both in cabotage and for export, is increasing day by day. Shipments of coal and fertilizers from the ports of the region still remain quite rare.
The rate on wheat exports from Russia will drop by more than 13 percent to 1,540.4 rubles per ton from July 24th. Duties on barley and corn remain at zero.
