On the 31st week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region increased. Thus, the rate for a shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports, rose to USD 22 per ton. It should be noted that demand for grain in Turkey is still low, but there is an increase in the number of contracts for the ports of Egypt and Israel. Rates for Egypt may start to grow even faster in the near future due to emerging queues at discharging in Egyptian ports. There is also a big number of inquiries for export shipments from Russian river ports.
The rate for wheat exports from Russia from July 31th has significantly decreased to 906.4 rubles against 1,540.4 rubles per ton a week earlier. Taxes on barley and corn will remain at zero.
