On the 33rd week freight rates in the Azov–Black Sea region continued their rapid growth, reaching USD 36 per ton for the shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. Turkey is once again becoming the leading buyer of Russian grain, although demand from the Eastern Mediterranean countries remains quite strong.
The conclusion of contracts has been further facilitated this week by the introduction of a zero export duty on wheat, corn, and barley.
