On the 36th week, freight rates’ growth in the Azov–Black Sea region slowed down. Contracts for shipping of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports are being concluded at the level of USD 43–44 per ton. Demand for grain in Turkey and the Mediterranean Sea countries has slightly decreased, but still remains high. It is worth noting that a large number of requests are being observed from Russian river ports.
The export duty on wheat from Russia increased more than fourfold starting September 3, reaching 134.4 rubles per ton. Export duties on barley and corn remain at zero.
