On the 4th week, freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region remain at the level of 20 dollars per ton for a shipment of 3000 tons of deadweight cargo from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. There is still no growth in grain sales, and traders do not expect the trend to change in a near future. There are slightly more requests for fertilizer exports from Black Sea ports, but there is no strong impact on the freight level.
The rate for wheat exports from Russia will increase by 10.7% to 4,699.6 rubles per ton from January 22nd. The tax on barley and corn will also increase significantly up to 3,101.9 2 rubles and 5,041.7 rubles per ton respectively.
