In Week 40, there has been no resumption of activity in the Azov–Black Sea region. At the same time, the Iranian grain market continues to demonstrate strong demand, with shipments remaining active. Freight rates for 3,000 mt of wheat from Astrakhan to Northern Iranian ports continue to rise steadily, reaching USD 120–122 per ton this week.
In the Baltic region, the coaster market is showing signs of strengthening. Many shipowners operating in the Black Sea region are repositioning part of their fleet to the Baltic for subsequent employment towards the Eastern Mediterranean.
