On the 46th week there is a slight decline in freight rates in the Azov–Black Sea region. Rates for the shipment of 3,000 metric tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports have decreased to the level of USD 47 per metric ton. This drop is linked to a decrease in demand in Turkey observed over the past two weeks. Many charterers are expecting a further market decline to secure favorable contract terms.
The export duty rate on wheat from Russia will more than double to 185.5 rubles per ton starting November, 12. The duty rates on barley and corn will remain at zero.
