On the 47th week, there is a sharp increase in freight rates in Azov-Black Sea region. Thus, the rate for ta shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports rose by $9 for the week to the level of USD 66 per ton. The main direction of shipments remains Turkey, where the demand for Russian grain is actively growing, while sales to other directions are becoming more and more rare.
An important factor for such a sharp increase in rates has been the deterioration of weather conditions in the Black Sea, where a strong storm has been raging for the last few days. Thus, it is very difficult to find a vessel with laycan dates in the next two weeks. At the same time, active trade is facilitated by the lowering of export fees. According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the tax rate on wheat exports from November 22nd will be 4,395.4 rubles against 4,544.9 rubles per ton a week earlier, the tax on barley will remain zero for the fifth week in a row, while the export fee on corn will drop to 1,013.1 rubles per ton.
