The 50th week in the Azov-Black Sea region is marked by a significant reduction in freight rates. The level fell to USD 38 per ton for shipping of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports. The volume of firm cargoes in the market continues to decrease following a decline in demand from Turkey and Egypt. At the same time, farmers keep high prices for their products, which makes it difficult to conclude new deals under conditions of strengthening ruble exchange rate. Since December 10, export duties from the Russian Federation on wheat, barley and corn are set at zero level.
