On the 51st week, freight rates in the Azov–Black Sea region continue to decline. The freight level for shipping of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports has fallen to USD 36–37 per ton. Demand remains quite low, both in Turkey and in Mediterranean Sea countries. At the same time, procurement prices from agricultural producers are not decreasing.
As for the fleet situation in the region, it is worth noting that most shipowners are offering opening dates already for early January.
Export duty rates on wheat, corn, and barley from the Russian Federation remain at zero as of December 17, unchanged from the previous week.
