On the 16th week. there is a slight decrease in freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region. Thus, the price for a shipment of 3,000 tons of wheat from Azov to the Marmara Sea ports is about $ 79 per ton. This week there has been a sharp drop in demand for Russian grain, first of all, of Turkish partners. Thus, export prices for Russian wheat of 12.5% with delivery in May decreased to $368/t FOB (-$2/t).
Shipments to more distant destinations, such as Lebanon, Egypt or Greece, are contracted, but their number is insignificant. As a result, more and more spot vessels began to appear in the Black and Azov Seas. If the situation on the grain market does not change in the coming days, then, with a high degree of probability, freight rates will continue to fall next week.
