On the 14th week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region, inspite the expectations of many charterers, returned to growth after a drop at the end of the previous week. Thus, contracts for a shipment of 3000 tons of wheat from Azov to Marmara Sea ports are concluded at the level of USD 42 per ton. Turkish traders have started to actively buy Russian wheat again, but many charterers are not in a hurry to fix vessels, awaiting for a decrease in freight. A lot of requests for indications come for shipments from Russian river ports, but so far there are not a lot of deals from this region.
The export rate for wheat exports from Russia remained almost unchanged, and from April 3rd is 3,322.8 rubles per ton. The tax on barley increased to 1,002.3 rubles, and export rate on corn has risen from zero value up to 69.9 rubles per ton.
