On the 37th week in the Azov sea region the freight rates remain on the same level of USD 22-23 PMT for the shipment of wheat cargo from Azov to Marmara sea ports. Most shipowners prefer to work short voyages to not miss good freight if trend towards an improvement on the freight market in the Azov sea will continue.
At 36th week, the situation on the freight market continues to improve.
In the Azov region, freight rates continue their rapid growth. Shipowners are considering cargo already from the level of USD 22 PMT for a 3000 wheat shipment from Azov to Marmara sea port.
On the 35th week in the Azov region the growth of freight rates continues. The increase in the number of cargo offers has led to a significant decrease in spot positions, charterers are already looking for fleet for September dates.
On the 34th week we can track a slight increase in freight rates in Black and Azov sea. For example, the freight rate for 3000 mt of wheat from Azov to Marmara is around 18,5-19 USD per metric ton. The rise in freight rates is connected with appearance of a few cargoes on the market.
On the 33th week the freight rates in the Azov sea region remain on the previous week level. The shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports is still on the level of USD 18. There is seen an increase in the amount of grain shipments fro Azov sea ports to Turkish and European ports, however, this cargo flow is still much more less than it has to be in August
On the 32nd week it is noticeable that freight rates are decreasing in Azov-Black sea region. For example, freight rate for 3000 MT of wheat from Azov to Marmara dropped down to 18 USD per metric ton. Such market behavior is caused by overoptimistic expectations of the charterers and owners, who were hoping for trade increase with Turkey and Arabic countries after the end of the holidays
On the 31st week of the year, we can track that freight rates are slightly growing in Azov-Black sea region. Thus, freight rate for 3000 MT of wheat from the port of Azov to Marmara has grown up to 19 USD per metric ton.
On the 30th week in the Azov sea region there is a decrease in freight rates. The freight market has been actively rising not for a long time and now, the price for 3000 mts wheat shipment from Azov to Marmara sea ports had dropped to USD 17-18 PMT.
On the 29th week the increasing of freight rates has stopped for a while.
Drastically increased freight rates in Azov sea region has reached the level of USD 18-19 PMT for shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports.
