On the 30th week in the Azov sea region there is a decrease in freight rates. The freight market has been actively rising not for a long time and now, the price for 3000 mts wheat shipment from Azov to Marmara sea ports had dropped to USD 17-18 PMT.
On the 29th week the increasing of freight rates has stopped for a while.
Drastically increased freight rates in Azov sea region has reached the level of USD 18-19 PMT for shipment of 3000 mts of wheat from Azov to Marmara sea ports.
After 28 weeks, the freight market finally started to recover: the number of shipments is increasing and less spot positions are represented on the market.
On the 27th week the grain export restrictions were lifted what has to lead to improvements on freight markets in all regions and raising of freight rates. Owners offer higher rates waiting for expecting a sharp increase in demand for spot vessels. However, most participants of grain market are confident that there will be no significant changes on the market till mid July.
On the 26th week the market is in anticipation of a new grain season. Next week, with the beginning of July and the end of the ban on grain exports, shipowners expect a significant increase in market activity and in demand for tonnage.
On the 25th week freight market is still too quite with low amount of shipments. In the Azov sea region the freight rates remain on the low level of previous weeks: USD 12-13 PMT for shipments from Azov to Marmara sea ports.

On the 23th week the freight market and its participants are waiting for new grain season beginning so the current market activity is still very low. On the Azov sea market there are small number of grain shipments, in particular bran, which, due to the large number of spot tonnage can be fixed at fairly low freight rates. The price for shipment of 3000 mts cargo from Azov to Marmara sea ports has dropped to USD 13-14 PMT.
